The well-known Smart Cities are the progress of urban development into efficient and sustainable cities. This improvement in cities has to do with people as well as “things”. Transparency, two-way communications generated from institutions and citizen cooperation are the beginnings of the efficient city. From the connectivity between people we have gone on to the connectivity between the different elements in the city and the citizens in order to provide quality services, immediacy and security for example in transport, lighting, traffic and street furniture. This new concept enables us to obtain a large source of data that if well handled, not only provides more visibility of how things function, but the ability to anticipate, solve and as a result, save and optimize resources and processes.
